All scientific articles submitted to the journal are subject to mandatory peer review. The editorial board, consisting of the editor-in-chief, his deputies, the editor-in-chief and the scientific editor, conducts an initial assessment of the materials according to the following criteria:
If the initial examination results positively, the article is sent for review to a specialist from the Expert Council – a doctor or candidate of sciences of the appropriate specialization.
Reviewers of the «Ekaterina Institute Vestnik» are required to comply with copyright regulations and maintain the confidentiality of the materials received. There is also a ban on copying unpublished manuscripts in the editorial office.

Special requirements for some authors
Authors without an academic degree (graduate students, applicants, interns) must additionally provide an opinion from a supervisor or a certified review from a scientific consultant with an academic degree along with the article.

The review period for incoming papers may not exceed 4 weeks.

Dealing with rejected articles
A reasoned refusal is sent to the authors of rejected articles within 10 days without specifying the name of the reviewer. There is no further correspondence with the authors for reasons of rejection.
The procedure for finalizing scientific articles
If necessary, the article is sent to the authors with the reviewer's comments. The authors should respond to all comments and make corrections to the text of the article. It is necessary to indicate the places of the changes made by the author or to correct the article in the review mode.
The corrected version is returned to the editorial office of the Bulletin within the agreed time frame. Next, the article is reviewed again.
Documentation and archiving
The editorial office maintains a book on the movement of articles, which records the reception of materials, the results of peer review, and information about decisions taken on the article.
The reviews are kept in the archives of the founder for 5 years.
Making a final decision
The decision on publication is made by the editor–in-chief and, if necessary, by the editorial board of the Bulletin.
Upon request, reviews can be submitted to the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
